ISO Singapore-style noodles

Dear Hounds, I just came back from a trip to London where I had the most addictive Singapore style noodles on the west end (curried rice vermicelli, chicken, shrimps, bbq pork, green onions, etc). Anywhere in SGV I can get my fix? Preferably Arcadia or Alhambra? Open late?

A slightly different twist to this question. Just came back from the Bay Area where I had the so-called Singapore Rice noodles with chow fun (thick) noodles rather than the mei fun (thin) noodles. I know that Singapore chow fun is relatively uncommon, but I know that I've had it in the L.A. area. However, the only place I specifically recall having this was Guangzhou Palace in Rowland Heights, and they're gone. Anybody know who else serves this dish locally?

As the poster's mentioned, any Cantonese restaurant and it will be listed under noodle dishes. Difference you'll find is how much of those ingredients you get, otherwise wherever I go they all taste the same.

I know you mentioned the SGV, but in LA Chinatown there's May Flower on Spring/Ord and they're open until midnight.

You can get the Singapore style rice noodles at most Cantonese places; I think Phoenix on Valley has a pretty good one (this Phoenix is separate I think from the Phoenix cafes, where they also serve a pretty good singapore noodle). I especially like the Singapore noodle with a bowl of plain congee.

Yeah, Phoenix restaurant (in alhambra as well as the old one in downtown) spun off the little boutiques. There's also a boutique next to the Phoenix restaurant on valley, but because of the proximity to the larger place, only serves drinks and desserts.

I thought the Phoenix on Valley is separate from the original Phoenix in Chinatown (which is open until 1am), and that the little Phoenix's are offspring from the Chinatown Phoenix. Well, whatever it is, they're all good.

Too many to list in Alhambra. Just drive down Valley and look for BBQ places. Sam Woo and U2 BBQ are both popular, though any of the places like Baccali, Garden and Regent will all have it.

In Arcadia, I often grab some at Phoenix Boutique (right next door to Din Tai Fung). Other places in Arcadia that will undoubtedly serve it are Hop Li, Full House and (probably) May Mei. There are also a couple of new hong kong cafes that will have it as well (one on baldwin and fairview, and one on las tunas and baldwin, by the Big Lots).

My personal favorite (and it pains me to say it) is the version at Mission 261, which I tried while having dim sum once. Texture of the noodles was perfect, intense flavor, and yet miraculously, it was practically greaseless. Really good stuff, though it will cost $9 instead of the usual $6.

I've had it before at Sam Woo BBQ, Luk Yue, and other types of places like these.

Most of the HK style cafe have the noodle. I like the one from Garden Cafe on Valley/Garfield.

Most chinese restaurants have it on their menu. Just don't look for them in a Singaporean or Malaysian restaurant because they aren't an authentic dish. (kind of how London Broil isn't really from London, etc).

I get my fix at Hop Li's in China Town.
