GOYA TO THE RESCUE! WE HAVE OUR BISCUITS AGAIN!!!
I was shopping for Thanksgiving. I so craved that which I could not have, my wife's signature stuffing which was made with Uneeda Biscuits which Nabisco so cruelly took away from us.
That was when I spotted them. I do not know what made me pick them up. They were round instead of rectangular and they were in a plastic bag. They had hechsure from OU and the ingredients were parve. I took them home and tasted one. It was real close to a Uneeda. My wife used the entire bag for her stuffing. It was just outstanding. It was her signature stuffing. Who would have figured? GOYA CRACKERS!
Good for you! Don't be so surprised if a food company with "Latin American food products" (a term I don't really agree with) has items you think of as not particularly Latin American. You can find "Bimbo bread" that can stand in for Wonderbread (though I hate it) as well as all kinds of soups, sauces, broth cubes, etc... that are no different or barely different from their North American brethren.
