Trader Joe's Harvest Vegetable Blend: Turnips, Rutabagas, & Parsnips- ideas?

Anyone have any tasty ideas/suggestions? The simpler the better. Maybe just roasting in olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper?

  1. I have very successfully roasted that vegetable blend, in exactly the manner you're describing. It is also useful to add to soups.

    1. your instinct to do a simple roast is great. if you want to get a bit more involved you can go for a mash, gratin, or souffle.

      1. Simply roasted with olive oil, salt, pepper, thyme, marjoram, and then drizzled with an herb vinaigrette if you like:

        1. thanks! i ended up mixing it up with quartered brussels sprouts, tossed with olive oil, salt, pepper, and light dust of brown sugar to help the brussels sprouts carmelize. roasted for 30 min, was a hit at thanksgiving!
