HAPPY THANKSGIVING! SO I AM A MEMBER OF THE U.S. NAVY ALONG WITH MY SAILOR FRIEND STATIONED HERE IN VIRGINIA BEACH. WE WONT BE MAKING IT HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS WHICH SADLY MEANS...NO TURKEY...I HAVE NEVER HAD A THANKSGIVING WITHOUT THE FIXINS AND DON'T PLAN TO START NOW :). ANY RECOMMENDATIONS OF RESTAURANTS AROUND THE AREA THAT WILL BE OPEN AND SERVING A TRADITIONAL THANKSGIVING DINNER?

We had an awesome Thanksgiving dinner! thank you for your contributions! The galley (our big base cafeteria) served an amazing Thanksgiving dinner with all the traditional sides. We even had an apple cider and eggnog fountain. Hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving! Happy Holidays! Hooyahhh!

Yeah, I thought your original post was strange as I have never seen a Navy mess not provide a huge turkey dinner on Thanksgiving.

Hope you had a good turkey with fixins Thanksgiving dinner. You deserve it. Thank you and thank you to all the troops.

Mess Hall/Dining Facility or whatever the Navy calls it usually serves good chow on Thanksgiving Day. Price is quite reasonable and I'd bet money they had enough turkey to feed a flotilla.

The USO at the Norfolk airport is serving free Thanksgiving dinner to service members. You may want to call and make sure they haven't run out of food! Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for your service to our country.
