Do the blue cheese and fig savories need to be refrigerated?

I made the blue cheese and fig savories recipe I got from this site awhile ago but can't find it now. It said you could make them a day ahead and store in an airtight container, but didn't say anything about refrigeration so I assume they don't need it, but thought I'd check in with the experts on this site. Thanks and happy Thanksgiving to all!

1., do I refrigerate tonight or not? help and thanks!

    1. Can you describe the recipe or preparation? Your question is difficult to answer without knowing more information.

      1. I personally would refrigerate if a main ingredient is blue cheese (I'm guessing by the name that it is). Anything that has cheese in this manner gets refrigerated but that's just me. The only thing that doesn't, come to think of it, is cheese bread. But that doesn't last long enough to really be an issue....:)

Simple rule. If any of the ingredients you started with needed to be refrigerated you should refrigerate the end product...

Well, not really. If I bake a chocolate chiffon cake, it has eggs and milk in it. I'd refrigerate the eggs and the milk, but not the cake. Same goes with bread, one recipe I have has milk in it, but I don't refrigerate it...
I would suggest that anything with cheese and cream as a base needs refrigeration, something to me about that combo screams "refrigerate me", but that's just me...

            1. re: freia

I was trying to make it simple...starting with "if the Ingredients need refrigeration and the recipe does not involve coagulation of the proteins in those individual ingredients ..." did not seem right...

        2. I made these last year and did not refrigerate. Didn't even think about it. I served them to lots of people over the holidays and as far as I know, no one got sick.
