Best lemon meringue and or key lime in Toronto?

Hello! My boss is shaving a baby and demands the very best lemon meringue and key lime pie! Where should I go? A different place for each? Advice, please!

Why is your boss shaving a baby? lol.

I like the lemon meringue dessert at the Gabardine, and I've had a good lemon meringue dessert at Zee Grill in the past, but I'm not sure that either would qualify as the best. Both were contemporary versions of the lemon meringue pie, that tasted like the real deal, but didn't look like a traditional slice.

I haven't found a great key lime pie in Toronto. Dufflet's makes a key lime tart that is ok for what it is, but I don't find it to be nearly as tasty as the traditional kind you'd find in the South. I'd probably just make a key lime pie, since it's one of the easiest desserts to make.

You might want to call Flaky Tart and/or Wanda's. I haven't tried their lemon meringue or key lime pies.

Again, not a meringue pie, but I had a sensational lemon tart at Starfish. I'm not sure if it's still on the menu, but it had a shortbread base layer and was very tart, while still being sweet.
