Where can I get farm store free-range fresh dressed chickens south of Boston?

We get whole pigs and cows from farmers in Northeast Connecticut and next on my list is to find a farm (or market) where I can buy freshly slaughtered free-range (no hormones or chemicals at all) dressed chicken wholes or parts south of Boston. I think I saw these at Kan Man market in Quincy - need to check that out again but that is a hike north for us.

You did likely see fresh chickens available in Kam Man, but I highly unlikely they are free-range or "organically" raised.

The nearest place I can think of is Owens Poultry, but they are in Needham. If you call them, they might know other farms closer to you.

Thanks very much! It is only about a 30 minute drive -- I will give them a call.

If you're close to Rhode Island, the Pawtucket Winter Farmer's Market should have some poultry farmers & chickens.

Yes - not far at all. This is a great suggestion and I never knew it existed before - thanks very much for informing me.
