Help! Need to find Lyle's Golden Syrup or another brand of cane syrup for Thanksgiving recipe

Rainbow is sold out; Whole Foods doesn't carry it. I know I can make something that will substitute in, but I'd like the taste of cane syrup if possible. any suggestions?

  1. Try Andronico's. I feel as if I've seen it there. Cost Plus might be another place where you can get it.

    1. Previous request but most of these places are still around, call.

      1. so funny--I searched for "Lyle's" rather than Lyles and that old thread didn't pop up. I actually found it at the British Grocery at 15 and Potrero.

OK you got yours but what about all the other Lyle's seekers all around the Bay Area? ;-)

        2. I think I've bought it at Berkeley Bowl. They have a fairly large selection of British stuff.

I bought some this weekend at Faletti's.

          2. I have seen it consistently at Cost Plus World Markets here is SoCal so maybe up north, too.

            1. Pasta Shop Rockridge in stock.

              1. Berkeley Bowl West has Lyle's in cans in the British foods section. Cost Plus carries it in a squeeze bottle. The prices are better than Andronico's.

"The prices are better than Andronico's."
An almost truism which may explain their recent financial crisis.

                2. Haig's Deli in the inner Richmond District of San Francisco carries the Golden Syrup and the Treacle too I think. They're on Clement Street around 8th Avenue.
