Huntley Taverne in Summit does a decent job and you'll find everything from good apps/salads to (overpriced, imo) entrees. And a bar with a very good selection!

Rob's Bistro in Madison might work for you. We've only been once, but I enjoyed my fish (sole, I think), and mr. diva had steak frites (I think it was a hanger steak with a shallot demi glace).

Rob's Bistro would be an excellent choice. I also like the Garlic Rose, just up the street.

I've got to second (or third) Rob's Bistro. Very well done bistro cooking. Right next door and much more upscale is Resto - also very good, but pricier and harder to get a table. LaFoccacia in Summit is a good Italian BYO, as is Il Mondo Vecchio in Madison.
