Helado Juli's Brooks St East Boston

  • 0

Helado Juli's recently opened a retail store on Brooks Street just up the street from the Bremen Street exist from the Airport T station. Driving its off Chelsea St. It was a bit too cold today to try one, but they had green mango, mango, coconut, a bananna (chocolate covered?), strawberries and cream, she mentioned something with crema separate from the fresa y crema, and passion fruit. There was one red one which I forgot to ask about (maybe hibiscus/jamaica or maybe not)?? They are made in a small dessert/drink cups with a stick through the top and displayed in a chest freezer at the front of the store. El Valle de La Sultana Market is also carrying some of their flavors too and I have seen them in a few other outlets too. I know opinionatedchef was looking for something like this (sorry no funky combinations) and it is supposed to be a bit warmer over the weekend. They also have a reasonable selection of Salvadoran pastries from local bakeries, fruit salads, coffee, etc. I had a pastry but the warming oven wasn't warm. No web site, but it does look like they have a facebook page and photos of some of the flavors are posted there.
