Recommendations Please! Takeout Stuffing

Hello, family is visiting for Thanksgiving and we are going out for the festivities.

Trying to be a great host (and son), I thought it would be nice to also have turkey at home so we can have traditional turkey sandwiches post-Thanksgiving.

I'd sincerely appreciate any recommendations on where I can purchase awesome stuffing for takeout to accompany this turkey.

Many thanks!

Thank you very much for your advice - I went to Whole Foods and got the corn bread stuffing with sausage - the tasting was outstanding!

Chompie - Whole Foods does have a New England style stuffing - that apparently is its most popular since it is vegetarian.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

You've got your search narrowed down, but for anyone else looking, Russo's had four types of stuffing today.

Anyone know if any of the takeout stuffings come vegetarian? I am guessing that that is an immpossibility... So I usually get a bag of Pepperidge farm and a container of mirapois from Trader Joes and throw it together but this year I wont even have a chance to do that so takeout would be great. Sister is bringing Verrill Farms and will check but assume they use turkey stuff in the stuffing..

Thank you for all of your recommendations! I am currently focused on Savenor's, Formaggio, and Whole Foods. All are relatively close by and I actually know where they are located.

Any suggestions on which store offers the best dressing?

To the west, we have Owens in Needham, and the Outpost in Holliston which is AMAZING!!!! But Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year there. Make note for the future though, if you are a fan of turkey. Their sandwiches are the Best!

I would bet that you could find good stuffing at Russo's.

You do sound like an awesome host (and son) so good for you. I do not know about take out stuffing options other than Whole Foods. I had it once and it was actually pretty good. It is so easy to make and not at all time consuming, so do consider that. Don't forget the cranberry sauce!

I really like the cornbread and sausage stuffing at Whole Foods. A few days ago, they had 3 different types and after tasting them, I stuck with the cornbread one. The others were pretty good as well. I actually get 2 qts and freeze some. If you are going to get it there, make sure you call ahead of time to reserve some. A few years ago, I found out the hard way that they don't have an endless supply.
