Sea Harbour Seafood on Rosemead and Valley

What's good to get here in the way of non-pork dishes?

Also, during the breakfast/lunch hours of 10am to 3pm or so, do they only serve up dim sum or can you also order dinner dishes?

If i'm going on my own, is it still worthwhile as a single diner, and how should i strategize if so?

  1. Yes on the non dim sum during the day. You just have to ask for the big menu. And on the strategy, be prepared to bag alot of leftovers?

    1. not advisable as a single diner, in fact not sure they will even seat you. I tried to go with one other person a few years ago and they told us we had to have at least 3-4 or more to get a table. not sure if they've changed their policy since.

Not true for a party of two. They always have sat me and my son graciously.

It might be good to be one if you are having abalone or even a small steamed fish.

I have gone there solo without problem, though I more frequently do that at Elite.

        3. Ive only been to Sea Harbour with one other person and theres never been a problem...I love their pan fried rice noodles(tubes of chow fun, never seen it before). their greens are fresh and tasty too...and shrimp to die for.

Is there any particular shrimp dish or all of them on their menu?

          2. i have been there alone twice for dim sum. i have always been treated very nicely by the staff and they give you as many carry-out containers as you need. If you want to go there solo, then go for it!

            1. Definitely everything on the dinner menu is available during the day.

Fresh seafood. Abalone, geoduck, prawns, shark's fin soup and the sea turtle soup are standouts and must-trys.

Non-seafood items to consider would be green beans w/conpoy and black beans, bean sprouts, minced crab meat with fried tofu.

Not sure why you would go there for pork. Can't really think of any stand-out pork dishes at Sea Harbour. Odd on your part. Just odd.

Whether dining alone is a good thing to do or not is really a personal issue.

My bad. Thought a lot of the cooked seafood dishes were topped with pork.

                Thanks for the info.

Could you imagine? Fresh steamed rock cod topped with roast pork? Or maybe the garlic lobster comes garnished with dung po pork? Yum ... eh, maybe not.
