Whistler

I'm traveling to Whistler for a few days very soon. Any ideas for kosher food in the area (aside from Vancouver)? Are the supermarkets stocked with the basic staples?

  1. We were there a few years ago. When we travel to areas which don't have kosher restaurants, we are not really very high maintenance; we live off of supermarket staples like peanut butter, tuna, canned veggies, etc. We definitely found all that stuff in the one or two local markets in the village. As with most places outside big Jewish areas, don't expect to find meat, cheese, or fresh bread, but standard staples under the American and Canadian hechsherim won't be hard to find.

    1. Chabad of Vancouver delivers food to Whistler regularly.
