Xtabentún in Boston?
I just came back from a trip to Mexico where I was introduced to a liquor called Xtabentún -- it's a sort of Mayan anise-honey concoction. There's many brands of the stuff, but I wondered if anyone had seen it around the Boston area.

BTW I did find Xtabentún recently at the bar at Back Bay Social Club - it made a nice digestif, as it always has, with a double expresso after a weekend therapy brunch.

Actually I'd expect that in TN, since there is a sizeable Mexican community in most TN cities these days, with some of the most chowish eating places in those cities these days too. But I digress...back to Boston!
Check out Elite Liquors on Mass Ave between Berklee and Church Park (the old Choice Mart), xtabentún sighting there recently.

I could have been dreaming, but I'm pretty sure I saw Xtabentún for the first time at retail in the Greater Boston area pretty recently, in the past few months. It was the same brand I have at home, D'Aristi, a bottle of which I brought back from the Yucatán. Not sure which store I saw it in, but my usual circuit for spirits includes Martignetti's in Brighton, Downtown Wine & Spirits in Davis Square, Blanchard's in JP, Liquor Land in Roxbury, Gordon's in Waltham, and Atlas in Medford. It's also possible I saw it in Marty's Big Buys in Allston, which I don't frequent but recall having some unusual stuff.
