there act together.. Tried to see if they lived up to the raves a couple of Saturday's ago,,stopped for lunch.. Tho the hours of operation posted on the front door said they were open for business,, the only employee present was a person with a mop using a strong smelling cleaning solution. When I asked if I could be seated,, the employee said she would summon someone from the back.. 5 minutes later, I walked out.
This friday, my GF and I decided to give it another go for happy hour.. arriving at 640p the receptionist informed us happy hour was over,, I told her it was not yet 7pm and decided to march to the bar.. No happy hour bites menu available so we decided to order tapas from the reg menu,, fois gras ($18) and meatballs in tomato sause ($8-owners mothers receipe) along with a couple of glasses of spanish pinot noir.. Both dishes were unremarkable and forgetible.. The bar back mentioned they were newly opened only a couple of months and still didn't have it quite organized. Apparently the staff turnover caused some stress and they were trying to fill in some holes.. They even encouraged the owner to close until they were better ready to provide a steady menu and consistent svc. The owner should listen to his staff..$61 later (tax title valet),, my GF and I went to Paulie's and had a terrific Mussels and Fettucini plate and Grilled Chx Ceasar dinner,,, $34.00 we left completely satisfied! My suggestion,,,, if your in the mood for tapas,,, head to Oporto on Richmond..

Thanks for posting this. I joined this site to extol the virtues of my favorite places, but I find the warning posts more useful, especially for the better places.

"My" places are typically small mom and pop's that are ridiculously cheap and unique.

If I'm spending more than "next to nothing", I don't want to waste it on a poor experience.

Thanks again for taking the time. Hopefully, they'll get it worked out.

I've heard a recent positive report from a work colleague. Sounds like they are on the right track now. Will be trying them soon and will report back.
