Really want to go here with a group of friends in December. I can't recall from my one visit there - can they accommodate a group of 10 at one of the high-tops in the main space? If not, has anyone eaten in the private room downstairs? How's the atmosphere? Thanks.

They can accommodate a group of 10 if the ram tables together. probably not at the shared high-tables - they look like it's max 6-8.

Downstairs, I've peeked in to the cheesecave, but not eaten there. it's cool, but it's still in the basement. I would still want to host something there.

We've had 7 at the high tops - this included one chair at the end. I haven't eaten in the private room but a friend was part of a group there once and really enjoyed the atosphere and tasting menu. Agreed it does look cool.

Thanks jlunar and sman - I called the restaurant and they told me they can't accommodate a group our size upstairs at any of their tables. I've booked the private room - I generally prefer the ambiance of a restaurant's main room over a private room in the cellar but with this group, that chef and your feedback, I think it'll still be great.

Ate there a couple weeks ago and they mentioned he was in the back. I didn't know he was at Enoteca Sociale all perma-style. Nice.
