Grand Summit Hotel Thanksgiving Buffet - Can anybody advice on quality, etc?

  • 2

We traditionally go to the Short Hills Hilton Thanksgiving Buffet, and it has been wonderful, but I think slipping of late. This year they are renovating the Terrace and the Dining Room, and so the buffet will be in the Grand Ballroom

I was looking around and found this Grand Summit's Thanksgiving Buffet and the menu looked quite good - but that means nothing. Has anybody done their buffet, and if so, could you give me an idea of how good it is? TIA

  1. While I've never been there for a holiday meal, I can tell you that I've been there twice. Once for one of their lobster bake dinners and once for a brunch and both were completely underwhelming.
The brunch was pedestrian and the lobster was dried out. Sent it back and it was no better.

    1. Hey Furrydad,

Here's another option. The Pantagis Renaissance in Scotch Plains has a Thanksgiving Buffet. I can tell you I've been there twice, although it was over 5 years ago. It was quite good. A nice selection of raw and chilled seafood on ice, great entrees and sides, and a killer dessert table (if you still have room!)
