Editing posts now ignoring line/paragraph breaks

Like the title says. I entered a post with numerous paragraphs. When I clicked edit, all the line breaks disappeared.

I tried it just now with this post, but it isn't happening.

Maybe if I add a third paragraph?

Internet explorer has given us a lot of (often inconsistent) trouble with line breaks editing posts. It sounds as though you've run into that issue. Can you specify which version of IE you're running?

I'm on IE8 too and this has been happening every now and then since I posted this in May 2011.

Since then it has maybe happened 4-5 times. For me it is always on the first edit. Other than that I can't pin down the why. They are not the longest posts, just about the length of the post you linked to. It is always a surprise ... an unhappy surprise.

I guess it's not happening here. But it happened on another post I created (this one - www.chow.com/topics/818330#6954960 ), one that I had to edit numerous times (I was adding to a list). Maybe it's because the line breaks disappear if you edit it a lot of times?
