The Otherside is closing?

Anyone have an inside scoop as to whether they are relocating or are they closing altogether?

From the Beer Advocate just now via http://beeradvocate.com/forum/read/4223878#4303699

    THIS JUST IN:

Otherside will NOT be closing, per a facebook post they put up about an hour ago, replete with assurance that it is not a joke. Apparently the deal their landlord kicked them out over didn't go through, and the closing has been called off.

    Absolutely terrific news. Congrats guys!

Yeah, apparently the landlord was kicking them out before the deal with Bowl and Board even went through. Haw haw to the landlord!

The closing date has been pushed back to Jan 28, with $5 drafts until then:

Would the Otherside be a possible tenant for one of the open spots on Petersborough Street? It would seem to be a good fit in that mix.

What a bummer! It was a great, reliable place to go when downtown as a vegetarian. It will be sorely missed.

Not sure where we'll go now :(

That's sad, what a great joint.

I'm very sad about this, especially as it's making way for a chain furniture store. I'll miss their small but extraordinarily well-selected beer list and the Advanced BLT.

That is unfortunate. We lived closeby for years. The Otherside was (and is) only of the reasonable priced places to get a healthy lunch or breakfast in the Back Bay. The space was a little grungy, but the food was good.

Closing. They may reopen if they can find a spot, but it probably won't be a clone of the original.

                  And the gm's comments: http://beeradvocate.com/forum/read/42...

Quoth the GM: "We are aggressively looking to open a new place. It will obviously be quite different."
