We are coming in to Atlanta for Friday Jazz at the High Museum and need suggestions for supper. Any cuisine is fine, we're pretty adventurious, but we would like to try for suggestions that would be Local, casual, fairly quick and easy in & out since we will have a car. We are open to an early bite on the way there at 5pm or a late bite when it ends after 10pm. Thank you!

I would also add Tamarind Seed to the list, a locally-owned Thai restaurant.

Thank you, that looks delicious as well! I think timewise it looks like Tap will be the best choice. We'll be back another time so I will keep All of these suggestions in mind. Thanks, y'all!

You're in a great spot for options within 2-4 blocks right there. Tap at 14th and P'tree is a nice gastropub with some interesting food and great beer. Across the street is Shout (sister restaurant to Twist in Buckhead, haha) that does tapas, sushi and regular entrees, and is a trendy favorite for early dining before hitting the Midtown nightlife. A little further down 14th street is Spice Market, from Vongerichten. I love this place for interesting cocktails and thai food, as well as fun people-watching since it's in the W hotel. The other direction down 14th on Crescent is South City Kitchen, a favorite for upscale Southern cuisine. Any of these are an easy walk so I'd park near the High and hoof it.

Be sure to post where you eat, and I'd love to hear what you think of the "Picasso to Warhol" exhibit if you see that. I'm dying to go but haven't found the time.
