Non-vegetarian restaurant that does great vegetarian?
Can you recommend a non-vegetarian restaurant that has pumped up veg-offerings on the menu? Something that would easily entice a meat-eater to order it and not feel like they're missing the meat? Thank you!

Two of my favorite places for vegetables are Cafe Rouge and Incanto, both of which are generally regarded as meat-centric.
I've had great vegetable dishes recently at Cotogna and Barbacco as well. Barbacco's farrotto is one of the best vegetarian entrées ever.

Wow, I hadn't even considered that the delicious farrotto was vegetarian. The ingredients list parmesan and mushrooms, two items whose high glutamate content can satiate any carnivore.

There are only a few places in SF I order veg. mains & not feel that I'm "missing" meat. One is Perbacco, love their gnocchi. Another would be DOSA, an upscale South Indian restaurant where the specialty is of course, dosa. Actually, I feel this way about any S.Indian restaurant where dosas are prepared well. Lastly, a pizza at Pizzeria Delfina.
If price is not an issue, then...

If I were only looking vegetarian, I would choose Udupi palace over Dosa. Equally good food (if not better) at a fraction of the cost. Also at Firefly two out of seven entrees are always vegetarian, well thought out and executed.

If East Bay / Berkeley is okay, I think Gather fits the bill perfectly.

...as does Camino. There a always three entrees for the evening - one meat, usually one fish, and one vegetarian.
