Restaurant Near the Museum of the City of New York

I am a member of a Retired Men's Association coming in from out of town to visit The Museum of the City of New York midweek at 5th avenue and 103rd Street. We are looking for a moderately priced restaurant in the vicinity for our congenial fun-loving group of 40 people.

Amor Cubano has been mentioned; your recommendations would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

I would guess that Moustache (102 and Lex) could accommodate a group that size http://moustachepitza.com/moustachepi...

I'd call to see if Patsy's could. My new love in the area, Cafe Ollin, probably can't.

Gran Piatto D'Oro can easily accommodate your group of 40. Great Italian fare. Just 12 blocks north of the Museum of the City of New York.

Take a short walk to La Corsa on E 110 St for fabulous, reasonably priced Italian food. If the weather is still nice you can sit outside on their patio.

Thanks folks; but note that I need spade for 40 people for a sit-down lunch.

La Corsa can easily fit 40 in their dining room or patio. Give them a call.

El Paso Tacqueria, which I mentioned above, can easily accommodate 40 people for a nice sit-down lunch. Don't be mislead by the "Tacqueria" in its name. It is traditional Mexican cuisine and a charming restaurant, not a fast food sort of place.

I have found Amor Cubano a bit loud and cramped. If you like Latin food, a good, convenient choice would be the branch of El Paso Taqueria on Lexington @104th Street. It is more upscale than the original, very good Mexican (not Tex-Mex) restaurant, and attractive surroundings with Mexican art, as well as friendly service. With a group that large you may even be able to get an entire room. See the location in the middle at the bottom of this link:
