Looking for a Nice Lunch Spot in Silverlake
This is a business lunch. I thought about Blair's but they're not open for lunch. Any other suggestions? Price not an issue and no specific cuisine in mind, just want a place where we can have a nice meal and conversation. Suggestions?

LA Mill sounds like your best bet. They have a nice menu designed by Michael Cimarusti and it's a pretty comfortable place to talk. I can't think of many places in Silver Lake that have table service at lunchtime.

For a more casual, order-at-the-counter experience, Food Lab has some really good and creative sandwiches and salads. Tables are pretty close together, though.

I have heard that there is a new chef at Dusty's. I've always thought it was a pretty nice place to sit around and talk but that the food wasn't very good for the price. Maybe that's changed. I hope so since I live near there.
Otherwise, Park in Echo Park is nice and comfortable with pretty good food for lunch. I've only been to K2 on Sunset in Silverlake once, but liked it reasonably well. A little farther afield - Little Dom's in Los Feliz is good for lunch. Sadly, I'm pretty sure Barbrix is not open for lunch. If you like German food, the Red Lion might be okay - and won't be overrun with barfly hipsters during lunch.

re: amuffinmama
I had lunch at Forage once. It's order at the counter, take your tray and hopefully there'll be a free table, in other words very casual, not a place I would choose for a serious business lunch. The food was very good though. Not sure if Barbrix is open for lunch, but it's a sit down place with great food. Very very loud at dinner time, but have no idea what it's like at lunch, if it's even open.
