Lunch near Tempe Performing Arts Theater
Going to a children's play on a Friday at the Tempe Performing Arts Theater. Will have a five year old, 90 year old and two in between. Any ideas for lunch within walking distance? Any price range...not too exotic or unusual.

Hohokam's list is good for that area. I'll add a few more:
NCounter -- breakfast & lunch place that opened a few months ago & has become quite popular. I really like the bananas foster French toast, but there are plenty of good sandwiches & more lunch-oriented items on the menu
Med Fresh -- Turkish place featuring doner & kababs. Order at the counter during lunch; table service at night. My 4-year-old really enjoyed the kid's chicken kabab plate she had there recently.
Phoenicia -- Middle Eastern. Good falafel & couscous dishes.
For dessert, I suggest Paletas Betty at Mill & 5th St. Excellent Mexican paletas with interesting flavors. My 4-year-old likes the chocolate with just a bit of spice. Also, that place is donating 30% of proceeds to Phoenix Children's Hospital on Friday.

Among the "safe" options nearby:
House of Tricks (pricey and kind of "fancy", but not too exotic)
Restaurant Mexico (inexpensive, possibly exotic seeming to some)
Canteen (mid-range, again, possibly exotic seeming)
The Chuck Box (inexpensive, not at all exotic)
Rula Bula (mid-range, might seem exotic, but isn't)-----
