Kumari's Cuisine - Taste of Nepal (Petaluma)

Malcolm Ruthven Nov 15, 2011 05:21 PM

I stopped in there for lunch today and had very good food (lamb basil curry, on the specials board) served by a gracious waiter in a tasteful, spacious room. This place is definitely worth stopping in and trying for yourself.

Thank you, this was formerly a branch of Himalayan Kabob and Curry House. At one time I'd been to all the Nepali restaurants in the Bay Area, but I'm falling behind!

According to the website into section, the owner/chef was formerly with Little Nepal in SF.

It was on my list as the prior place, but each time I had tried to go there it had been closed. I was surprised by the new name. Also, I forgot to mention that the "spicy" option the waiter offered, and which I accepted, I would describe as no more than "medium" hot so don't be afraid of it at all.
