2nd vote for Convivium Osteria. Fanastic, cozy neighborhood joint, hearty food. Great stuff.
O Lavrador is good, too, and there's actually a couple little Portuguese places out there right nearby - A Churrasqueira and a tapas bar, Sangria.
And if you wanna go WAAAAAAY out to Mineola, there seems to be a "Little Portugal" - maybe half a dozen places. Heart of Portugal, Lareira, a few others. Though I suppose Manhattan is closer if you're looking for a taste of Lisbon...

I know Convivium is nominally Portuguese. And it's actually very good. But it's not traditional Portuguese food in any way, IMHO. Check out the menu first before you go to see if it has the kinds of dishes you're looking for.
I've been to Portugal. I've even been to Newark. CO is good but it's not what I think of when I think of Portuguese food.
