Fresh Turkey - Oahu

Is there anywhere to order a fresh turkey on Oahu?

Sorry if this has already been covered, my searches were unsuccessful. Thanks!

Poultry is not grown commercially in the state, chicken, turkey whatever. Short of flying to Molokai or one of the other islands to hunt your own you are pretty much out of luck unless you can find a small specialty grower, usually by this time of year those are pretty much spoken for, but perhaps someone else knows of one.

K-Man as usual is correct. People who want organic turkeys have traditionally ordered at R. Field. Now I would think Whole Foods would also be a place to get that type of turkey.

Kokua Market always carries frozen organic and free-range birds before Thanksgiving...should be arriving this week.

Organic/free-range is nice but I really want a FRESH one so I don't have to deal with thawing it or storing it for the next week and a half... I'll check out Kokua and Whole Foods. Thank you!

Kokua has some birds left as of yesterday (Nov 16) in both types and 3 size ranges, 10-12lbs, 12-14, and 14-16, I think. FR are $3.39/lb and organic 4.49/lb. You can reserve for pickup next week, but choices are dwindling.

Last year I was able to obtain a fresh turkey (not organic) from Foodland. Only problem is that they won't hold it at the store until Thanksgiving. So you have to have mucho storage room in your refrigerator.
