Group tables for solo diners on Thanksgiving 2011

Anyone have any suggestions of restaurants this year?

  1. I don't think this exists, unfortunately. When I posted a query on Chowhound boards a few years ago re solo dining on Thanksgiving, I ended up at Hudson Cafeteria, where I sat at a counter-type space in view of the open kitchen. It felt very lonely, as there was nobody seated next to me; also the meal wasn't so great. This year I'm also alone on Thanksgiving and am planning to attend a group dinner at a restaurant with a Meetup group I'm a member of.       So kind of you to respond. I'll take the meet up info, thanks. Right now I'm planning on sitting a the counter of the 2nd Ave. Deli. At least the food and service are a known quantity.
