Just read in the SJ Mercury that SJ now has a new all-kosher store that opened in August, opened by Iranian-born owners Rami & Nadia Haluyan. They sell lentils, sweets, cuts of lamb from Persia & Pakinstan, yogurt, cheeses, blintzes, crackers, rib eye steak, brisket, etc.

Oakland's is called Kosher Foods on Lakeshore Blvd, been open for 60 yrs, larger than SJ's, wider variety of fresh-cut meats.

got a pastrami sammie last year for 9.99. yep 999. they weighed the amount of pastrami and no dutch crunch bread availabile, just rye, wheat, the average breads.

the sammiie passable, not grea.
