Restaurant Christmas gift certificate suggestions

I would like to purchase my two nieces gift cert's for Christmas. The 17 yr old lives in Toronto (Scarborough - Warden Avenue and Huntingwood Drive area) . She is also old enough to travel downtown - ie. dessert places? My 21 yr old niece is in Ottawa - walking distance to Byward Market and University of Ottawa - loves pasta. I'd be grateful for any suggestions! Thank you.

For the Toronto niece I would recommend an Oliver & Bonacini gift certificate. They would have their choice of 8 different restaurants so they should find something they would like. O&B has two restaurants at the Bell Lightbox so dinner and a movie with friends would make a great gift!

For Ottawa you might want to consider a Milestones gift certificate. I had lunch at the Milestones on Sussex Drive recently and I thought it was good. Lots of choice for a 21 year old in any event.

Thanks so much for the suggestions - living so far away (Saskatchewan) makes it difficult to choose without some feedback from someone. I will be sure to check out both places.

For the toronto girl-she might enjoy an earls gift certificate....although well known out west it is just returning to toronto now and is enjoying success downtown. there is also a moxies at fairview mall (kind of close to her).

ottawa, there is a keg in byward market (she may be too young for the keg?)
