Hudson Café, Detroit—anyone tried?
Menu of this mostly brunch place on Woodward downtown looks great; I'm wondering whether to skip breakfast on one of my Detroit days and chow down there in the morning. Other places have failed on that block, but maybe the numbers (and the food) are there this time.
That would be great, interested, to in a review. Downtown needs every good chow spot it can get.
A group of six of us ate there the morning of St. Patrick's Day. We ordered a variety of items - the corned beef & cabbage special, some sort of berried french toast, a burger, corned beef hash, an omelet and the asparagus eggs benedict. Most of us had the breakfast potatoes as a side and they were great. Solid meals with no complaints, aside from no sourdough toast and a paltry variety of gluten-free items. Reasonable sized portions for reasonable prices. The service was fantastic! I'd recommend giving it a try.
