Will be spending a few nights in Cambridge-interested in finding some of the best spots for dinner for two (aside from legal sea food). Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thanks

    To cut to the chase, my strongest Cambridge suggestions:

    Oleana (need taxi but so worth it, such a unique menu- Turkish/Mediterranean

    )

    Craigie on Main- famous for creative snout to tail, but seafood too. V expensive.

    Rendezvous- International influences bistro

    Brunch:
    East Coast Grill, fun, loud, crazy; Latin, seafood, BBQ, oysters, Bloody Mary bar.........

    Welcome and hope you enjoy yourselves! Do report back so we can further advise others about places you tried.

      East Coast Grill is also a good spot to scratch the seafood itch at dinner time. Though as Penny says below, there are many good places that have at least a couple very good seafood entrees.

      Don't overlook Legal Seafood's $1 oysters (I think 3-6pm M-Th). Good deal, and good oysters. The stuff from the kitchen is forgettable though.

      Not sure if you were joking about Legal Seafood, but it is completely missable. Without being sure where you are coming from or what you like, the one place I would make sure hit for dinner is Bondir. You definitely need to make a reservation in advance.

        Rendezvous Central Square is one of the sometimes overlooked gems in Cambridge, except by the wise eaters in this corner of the web. Read this recent discussion.

        And, skip Legal. Most good restaurants around here will do a great seafood meal and if you want the best seafood, come across the river to Kenmore Square and dine at Island Creek Oyster Bar.
