ISO Red River Cereal in Hamilton/Burlington/Oakville

As the mornings get cooler, I'm switching back to hot cereal, and can't seem to find my favourite, Red River, anywhere. Anyone seen it around? (I'd probably even make the trip into Toronto for it!)

  1. I too, have been looking for Red River (here in Toronto)...they had a 'major' recall so it's nowhere to be found at present and no indication when it will return! Don't those folks know that 'winter' is coming!
None of the Supermarkets seem to have any information and I can't find anything on the website....

I didn't know there had been a recall - that would explain all the empty shelves.
I've actually been buying the ingredients, so I can make my own if I have to, but it just won't be the same without that red box!
I'll let you know if I find some.

I found Red River at my local Metro today - I'm assuming that means it's back on the shelves in Toronto as well. Guess what's for breakfast tomorrow!?!?

I found some yesterday at our local Sobey's. Almost felt like buying several boxes then realized how ridiculous that was! Sunday morning breakfast for me too.

      2. Red River had a major recall-something about not declaring that the product may have come in contact with soy. No word on when it will be back on the shelves-Bulk Barn does not have it either. However, I was able to locate some bulk at a local health food store that ironically does not publish the list of ingredients.

Thanks, I'll keep my eyes open.

        2. YAY! Red River was back on the market as of mid-December. I stocked up and my morning Red River and honey breakfast routine is back, oh how I have missed you! Does anybody else find it unusual that my 2 year old LOVES eating Red River for breakfast?
