Antoine's $20.11 lunch

Does anyone have any recent experience with the lunch special? I've read mixed reviews and just not sure if I should axe it from my itinerary. We're a party of 5, staying in the FQ, and will also be dining at Commander's Palace (been before) and August both for lunch but trying to fill our Saturday lunch with another deal.

If Antoine's just isn't worth it, I was thinking of either:
- changing Muriel's dinner to Sat lunch;
- brunch at EAT;
- or brunch at Atchafalaya

Any thoughts greatly appreciated. This trip is Feb 8-13.

    Went to lunch at Antoines in June and also, Brunch at Muriel's. I liked both of them. our waiter gave us a tour of all the rooms at Antoines, with all the history involved. We were enthralled by some of the stories. Muriels was good, too. Brunch had a jazz combo. Have also eaten lunch at Atchfalaya ( not brunch). That was last January. i remember liking everything we got. So, except for EAT, i have eaten at all your suggestions and had good meals at all them. good service, too. But since you are eating at Commanders, maybe Eat, Atchafalaya or Muriels might be a change from "Traditional" Creole of Antoines.

      I prefer to lunch in the Hermes Bar of Antoines. You can get the appetizer sampler, enough for two and either a nice salad or the hamburger will still come in under the $20.11 price.

        Antoine's is terrible. I recommend Atchafalaya out of that bunch, the latest incarnation of that establishment is really serving some great food. Plus the bloody mary bar is a great touch.
