Source for Used Food Grade Buckets with lids

Danybear Nov 11, 2011 01:48 PM

Looking for about a half dozen plastic food grade buckets with lids, used preferably free. I want to make several vats of soup for the Occupy Toronto folks, but I don't have anything big enough or disposable to deliver the soup in. Any suggestions?

You will often find then stacked up next the various garbage bins outside SLM. Pastry shops are also a good source. Bulk egg white comes in five gallon pails.

Check health food or bulk food stores as well - honey, peanut butter, some types of oil can come in large buckets. Restaurants are also a good source. Hope you don't have to look too far.
I'm sure your soup will be gratefully received.

Places like Vin Bon and other wine making stores have heavy duty 20L pails with lids and handles.
