Shabbat meals in Jerusalem

We'll be renting an apartment in Jerusalem in December, but because we're arriving so close to Shabbat ,we won't be able to buy and prepare food when we get there. I understand that we can pre-pay for Shabbat meals at a hotel in Jerusalem, and I'm looking for recommendations. We are vegetarians, but other than that, we're adventurous eaters. Our apartment is located on King George Street, between Agrippas and Ben Yahuda. I believe the area is called Zikhron Yosef. We don't mind walking for good food, but we'd like to keep it under 20 minutes, if possible.

  1. You are looking for a kosher meal on shabbat?

Your best bet is the new Mamilla Hotel:

The rooftop restaurant is nice. It's a bit of a walk, but shouldn't be too bad. The old Sheraton hotel is closer to you, but I have never been there.

    2. We were staying at The King David when we were there and kosher meals were available on Shabbat - the food choices were limited though and basically cold.

      1. The Leonardo is much closer to you. It's on King George across from the Great Synagogue.
