Dinner for 14 girls
Its my girlfriends bachelorette party coming up on the 26th (Sat), and they are all coming from Peterborough for a night out in TO. Being the only Torontonian, I am in charge of dinner. We are apparently going to a show at Crews and Tango on Church st at 830, so we need a place for an early dinner...
Budget is about 30-50 pp without alcohol...
There are 14 girls, so it has to be big enough for us all.
Somewhere fun, not snobby or too "fancy" (these are not foodies..), but it must be good food.
Close to the bar might be good, but its not a must.
with regards to type of food, something "agreeable".. a menu with varied choices preferably just because I cannot be sure what everyones palates/dietary restrictions etc are like.
Thank you so much in advance!!

May I suggest the new Pizzeria Libretto on the Danforth. They will be open by then, are taking reservations, and I hear tell they're going to have a semi private dining area that will accomodate a group about your size.

re: haggisdragon
hm thats a good option. they did ask me for something with "different" options (they said pasta, chicken, steak etc)
What about "wine bar" on church? i have never been, has anyone had experiences there?
also, what about weezies, would it be able to accomodate by 14 person party?-

Wine Bar may be too "fancy" for your friends. Weezie's is way too small for 14 people.
While it's not really in your area, maybe give Enoteca Sociale a call and see if they can fit 14 people into the cheese cave room. The food is solid, non-threatening and well priced. Great wines.
Other standby recs for groups for me are Sidecar and 93 Harbord. Both are budget friendly, non-threatening but good food, nice environment.
