Rome restaurants - distants
My wife and I will be in Rome from Dec 7th to december 13..right now researching on some places for dinner.
- Colline Emiliane
- All 'Oro
- Trattoria Monti
- La Pergola
We will be staying at the Marriott Grand Flora, how easy is it to get to those restaurants?
Any other good recommendations that is reachable from the Marriott Grand Flora?
I don't mind walking, transit or taking a cab for 15-30 mins?
Via di San Vito,13a, Roma , IT
Via degli Avignonesi, 22, Rome, Lazio 00187, IT
Via Luigi Settembrini, 25, Rome, Lazio , IT
It only seems to work one at a time.
Checchino dal 1887
Via di Monte Testaccio, 30, Rome 00153, IT
And finally La Pergola.
All the restaurants should now show on the map. Colline Emiliane is within walking distance. You can take bus No. 63 or 630 to Checchino; Metro A from Barberini to Lepanto will get you reasonably close to Settembrini. You'd probably want to take a cab to the others, because public transport involves either a change or a longish walk at one or both ends. La Pergola might take more than 30 minutes, even by cab.

There is a wonderful 'new' restaurant just around the corner from you, Claudio (or it may be called Il Localino) The address is Via Lazio 22, and the phone number is 393.254.2970. It's new in the sense that it's newly opened, but the chef/owner is the same as the restaurant La Gensola (much discussed on this board).

Visit the above posting.
This will offer you information about another restaurant quite near your hotel. Sometimes you get tired of running all over to find a named restaurant. You might tuck this info away in case you have a night in which you want to just walk to a good place near where you are staying.
