Sunday dinner rec in Hollywood

v

A group of us will be in town this weekend for a conference and need a place to eat on Sunday night. There will probably be six to eight of us.

We are staying at the Westin Diplomat and Crown Plaza and would like something close, preferably walkable, and on the water, as we're all coming from landlocked (and colder) places.

We have one vegetarian and all others will eat anything. Some in the party are not overly adventurous, but the food should be good quality with a decent wine list.

Any recs would be gratefully received.

Thanks!

Nando is an italian restaurant on Hallandale Beach Blvd. Very walkable, and I had a good experience there a couple of times. I was surprised it only has 3/5 stars on google reviews. We enjoyed it. That being said, walkable is a relative term. Gulfstream is only 2 miles away, not a bad walk and will help walking off the dinner. The place has some restaurants, moslty chains, but actauuly fair to good quality.

Fulvio's 1900 is on Harrison near Hollywood Blvd, upscale Italian. Excellent wines, I think they own a wine bar next door. Not on ocean but nearby. You might check with them as they were planning opening a place on the beach.

Very little is both walkable and good. Just north of you, Billy's Stone Crab (just north of the Hollywood Blvd. Bridge) is on the water and terrific. Stone crab -- Florida's gift to the world -- in abundance. Your concierge should be able to make both reservations and inexpensive cab/travel arrangements.
