Lunch on Boston to Montreal Road Trip

Hi all! Taking 89 north from boston to montreal. We'll need to stop for lunch. Any hidden gems not too far from the highway?

The Tip Top Cafe in White River Junction or Simon Pierce in Queeche are my stops. If I make it to Monpelier, there is a pub on a side street, sorry I can't remember the name, that does good burgers, and a crepe place next to the NECI bakery that has excellent poutine.

Newport Vermont is 3.5 hours from Boston and Magog Quebec is about four hours away but along 91. The difference according to google maps is 3 minutes but I think in my travels 91 might save you 30minutes. The restaurant in Bradford is worth a lunch stop.

About where do you think you'll be by lunch time? Concord NH doesn't seem far enough away. There's a new Schoolhouse Cafe in Davisville between Contoocook and Warner. I have only had their desserts at a catered function but have heard good reports from friends. If you take exit 7, bear right on Rt 103. It's very close to the exit.
