We are coming into the city for the Veterans Day Parade and need lunch recs. Party includes a 5 and 3 yr old and can't be too spendy. We will be in the vicinity of 5th (I know, lots of tourist traps?!) and can't travel too far outside of this area. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

the parade runs along *30 blocks* of Fifth Avenue, which is about 3 miles - there are hundreds of restaurants within such a large area. can you narrow down your location with cross streets?

Good call, I had to look up the starting point last night, had no idea how long the route was! Anyway, I think we will be more towards the end which is 56th.

Hill country chicken, or regular Hill Country for that matter

FYI - - The Veterans Day Parade begins at 11 a.m. on Fifth Avenue at 23rd Street,
and continues north along Fifth Avenue to 56th Street, probably ending around 2 p.m.
