Downtown Las Vegas
Never have been downtown las vegas -- yes, I know its touristy -- but looking for something to do with barely 21 year old daughters.
Knowing they aren't keen on hanging with parents all that much but still want us to foot the bill for dining before they go out with friends from UNLV -- thought downtown might be a fun scene, but looking for a bar/restaurant to nosh at that has a lively atmosphere, fun drink specials and good small bites.
Suggestions?

Bar+Bistro in the Arts Factory. I believe that they have a Facebook page. A lot of the reviews online are for the old B+B which was Italian fare. Chef Beni does more Latin fusion, and is always trying new items out. They also do things like pig roasts on the back patio area, and other fun activities from time to time. Every Saturday evening the Painters and Poets Jam happens from 7pm-11pm in the patio area. Across the street is Artifice a new bar in the area. The Arts Factory is located at Charleston, and Main with the B+B on the corner of the building-easy to find, just look for the fenced patio area.
There are other activities like Vintage bike night, Reggae Fest, fire spinning, etc that may be happening on the patio depending on when you go.

The first place that popped into my mind is the Triple 7 Microbrewery at Main Street Station, but I don't know if they have drink specials -- as the name implies, they are beer-oriented, although they have a full bar. It's inexpensive and the food is edible, it's lively but and safe, but maybe someone else will know if their mixed drinks are anything special. re: socalgal
Las Vegas Weekly has a nice searchable, sortable dining database.
