Tony's Barbecue and Bibingkinitan opens in no. Long Beach

Stumbled onto this place yesterday slogging through LB toward the 710 Fwy. It's on Willow just a few blocks west of the freeway:

1422 Willow Street
Long Beach, CA 90810

The owner has a main branch in Carson. Very simple menu of grilled Filipino-style skewers with that gooey teriyaki sauce, several types of pork (loin, belly, etc.), chicken, squid, and salmon. They're grilled to order and super fresh. Served with a little shredded papaya pickle and yellow rice with bits of ground pork. The also serve these little pandan leaf-wrapped rice cake (more like a pudding-y thing) that I've seen on signs around town and never knew what they were (bibingkinitan).

Anyway, a good option for a quick, squeaky-clean lunch spot down there with easy fwy access. I chatted with the owner for a while, and he may try to add some steamed vegetables to the plates.
