Trip to London -please comment on my list of meals
Hi everyone,
I'm from Hong Kong and will be visiting London during the post-Xmas week and after researching the insane amount of threads on this board, I've narrowed down my meals to the following (and gotten the necessary reservations):
Tue 12/27
Getting in around 4pm and catching a performance of Wicked
Post-theater dinner at Opera Tavern
Wed 12/28
Plans for the day include the London Eye and the Tate Modern
Breakfast - Wolseley
Lunch - Masters Superfish
Dinner - Pollen Street Social
Thur 12/29
Plan to check out the skating at Somerset House and perhaps linger in Central London
Breakfast/Lunch - TBC (Les Deux Salons / Great Queen Street / Needoo?)
Dinner - Bull & Last
I tried getting a lunch reservation at The Ledbury but they replied that reservations for Dec 27 onward won't be open till Dec 1. And Roganic is closed from Dec 23 to Jan 10. Are there other places I really should check out?
I'm really trying to get a good mix of places here, and 'cos I'm from Hong Kong, I think I would be skipping out on any Chinese recommendations. Not too sure about Japanese or Korean food as well, since those are done pretty well here in HK too.
Hope to hear back on my list above, thanks!

A "definitely check out" list:
Lebanese at Ishbilla (Knightsbridge) or Alwaha (Westbourne Grove)
Persian grill and/or abgoosh at Mohsen (Kensington)
Duck fesenjan at Kateh (Little Venice)
Penang style Nyona at Sedap (Old Street)
Colombian snacks and food at Las Americas and El Rancho de Lalo respectively (Brixton)-----

Excellent list and you've certainly done your research - it's a very Chowhound UK list (in a good way!)
I had an awesome meal at Lex Deux Salons the other week and for me I think it edges Great Queen Street. It's also a fantastic room.
If you were thinking about Needoo then you could swap that for Moti Mahal - contemporary Indian opposite Great Queen Street and much more convenient from Somerset House,-----

Good research! If it were me, I'd go for a morning walk on Hampstead Heath and have lunch at the Bull and Last, then head into town for ice-skating in the afternoon. Then maybe some shopping around Covent Garden followed by dinner at either GQS or Les Deux Salons. I see B+L as more of a lunchtime option compared to the other two. Needoo is a bit further away, but I would guess quite different from what you might get in HK so could be worth the journey.
