Perhaps it you change the title to something like 60th birthday looking for high end restaurants and indicate how far you want to travel, Healdsburg, Los Gatos, Oakland, San Francisco(only).

Well I understood the original post -- but you're right that any recommendations would have to be based on more info about preferences in style of food and location to choose among the "regular suspects."
