A restaurant for a lunch for 8 in SF on Friday - all foodies

Hi, I will be in San Francisco this week and need some suggestions for lunch for 8. I am staying at the Four Seasons. Originally I tried the Rotunda (my sister loves it), they are not great with large parties. Help???? Good food is key, price not a huge concern, but we want to sit down and eat. Does not need to be fine dining just really interesting.

Thanks

Is they are truly all foodies and you are really looking for something "interesting", do yourself a favor and go to Jai Yun. We just did a foodie lunch with 6 of us there last week. We opted for the $65/person tasting. It was seriously religious. My buddy who is the executive chef of a very popular restaurant in the South Bay claimed it was the best meal of his life. The one downside is that the ambiance is terrible and the service is sterile. But the food . . . oh man . . .
