Restaurant Near Marriott Downtown

I will be in Philly next week. Looking for somewhere within walking distance if possible and would like to spend no more than $50. Nothing too formal...somewhere fun to relax after a long day of meeting and celebrate my birthday.

I'm not sure how close or far it is, but the Continental Martini Bar is fantastic, and not all that pricy. Be sure to try the Szechuan Shoestring fries, they look fantastic, I only wish I had ordered them! Everything we tried was exceptional!

Continental has two locations, the "Midtown" one at 18th & Chestnut is walkable, about five or six blocks. The Old City location is easily accessible by subway, would actually be less walking, probably less than two blocks total depending on which Mariott it is.

Definitely Midtown Village area (13th & Walnut/Chestnut). Good options of all kinds: Sushi (Raw); Asian (Sampan); Pizza (Zavino); Mexican (El Vez); Italian (Barbuzzo), etc.

The short answer is to look at the restaurants on 13th St around Chesnut and Walnut Sts, and Chinatown. Very few places near there are over $50 per person assuming one or two drinks per person so I don't think you'll have to worry about that.
