There is a small grocery store on Sherbrooke st west, corner Cavendish, directly across the street from Provigo. They have a small selection of organic meats, chicken and some dairy products. Other items you would find in a health food store (breads, soups and other canned goods, grains etc.)

You can try Viva epicerie sante at the Marche 440 in Laval, they don't have a huge selection of organic fruits and vegetables, but they have some and a pretty good selection of grains, canned goods, etc in organic/no preservatives, etc. There's also the Tau markets in Laval/Montreal. I haven't found anything comparable to a Whole Foods in terms of size and selection around Montreal, but it's gotten a bit better over the last few years.

Check out Fou d'Ici in the Quartier des Spectacles. It just opened up.
