New To Ontario and I need some help finding some items

Hi everyone on Chowhound, I've been a long time reader of your site and reviews, its helped me find some of the best food around Vancouver and Calgary. However, I have just moved to Ontario from Calgary for schooling and am currently having problems finding some items from Thailand/Laos, I understand for the most part that large chain stores like Ocean's,T&T, and Oriental Food Mart carries most of the ingredients I am looking for, but things like small Thai eggplants and Housewares I can't find (Sticky rice steam basket, Sticky Rice container amongst other things)

So my question is if anyone knew any Laotian/Thai Owned grocery stores anywhere in the Niagara to Greater Toronto Area? any input would be greatly appreciated

I purchased my steam basket (and pot) for sticky rice at Tap Phuong on Spadina. You'll find other housewares there, as well.

For Thai egglant, there are 2 large Asian grocers on Spadina, both north of Dundas a block or two, one either side of the street (sorry, I don't know the names). I always find the small eggplant at the one on the east side of the street.

one of them is called "Oriental harvest" it is in the basement on the west side of spadina just north of dundas street
