Where or how can I get cooking wine- or wine for cooking - in five gallon pails? Cheap. The stuff from the usual suppliers is full of salt so I don't want to use it.

The easy way is make your own at Fermentations or other U-Vints. All you've got to do is pitch the yeast and carry it away a few weeks later.

Most of these places sell in bigger pails. I personally buy the boxed wine at lcbo for homecooking, cheapest is about $30 a box.

Me too. I love the spouts on the boxes and how it keeps the wine pretty fresh for about a month.

you can make your own. I make wine at The Wine Butler. I think their prices start around $165 for 30 bottles but you could put the wine in any containers you want too when you go back to "bottle" your wine 6 weeks later.
